Vision and Values
God Promises his people: “I will bless you... and you will be a blessing… and all nations will be blessed through you…” (Genesis 12:2-3)
Seeking God’s Blessing Together
I think that almost any of us who stop and consider our lives will realize that we are the recipients of many blessings . Few people alive today and even fewer in the history of humanity could have conceived of the abundance, convenience, and security we take for granted every day. By faith we affirm that these are not things we deserve, these are gifts of God. However, these are not the ultimate gift.
God’s word teaches us that the most significant blessing we can hope for comes not from what money can buy or man can invent. True security, satisfaction, and significance comes through connection to God through Jesus Christ. All the blessings we enjoy are just a foretaste of this ultimate blessing—-all the bummers life throws at us (every life has it s bummers) are manageable because of this ultimate blessing. At Hope Church we will challenge you to discover your ultimate peace and rest in the blessing of God.
Sharing God’s Blessing Joyfully
When God blesses us, it is not just so that we can indulge ourselves. God blesses us in order that we might bless others. Our experience of God’s blessing grows as we give it away. The more we bless others, the richer our personal experience of God’s blessing becomes.
Because the people of Hope Church are an unusually blessed people, we challenge everyone in the Hope Church family to consider ways they might serve and sacrifice, to share God’s blessing with others. We are not timid or apologetic about this because we believe we are doing you a favor when we invite you to sacrifice in order to bless others. Your experience of God’s blessing multiplies as you give it away. At Hope Church we will challenge you to serve and sacrifice that you might be a blessing to others.
Spreading God’s Blessing Globally
Every day capital, goods and people move all around the world. Every evening images from around the globe are broadcast on the news. The world is getting to be a smaller place.
